Welcome to the Oklahoma Scottish Pipes and Drums Website. I hope you use this site to enjoy discovering what our band is all about. As the new Pipe Major of this band, I have been given the oversight of the musical program and training that occurs on a weekly basis.

When you read our band Mission Statement you will readily see that the band is committed to musical excellence. Check out our photo album, our piping course syllabus, and our awards section and you will see evidence that this band has a great time together while, simultaneously, working very hard.

The band is composed of people of various ages (teens to retired) from numerous walks of life. We have police, firefighters, government workers, educators, health care professionals, energy industry workers, Christian ministry workers and students, to mention a few. Our educators are actively involved in education in our community, from administrative work to Masters of Education; from secondary school music directors to PhD professors.

To attract and maintain this varied group we have a growing and developing educational program that will keep the serious student challenged/interested, and help the beginner develop/improve their skills as well. My goal as Pipe Major is not only to improve musical quality but to utilize the wide range of talents and skills of our members to impact/improve the group as a whole. This is all done in an atmosphere of friendly competition and mutual respect/enjoyment. The band nurtures a unique blend of fun and hard work.
